Faisalabad: In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, sports activities are being organized on a continuous basis across the Faisalabad Division. Under the “Mera Sohna Faisalabad” celebrations, a two-day Girls Youth Sports Festival was organized at the Samanabad Sports Complex through the joint efforts of the Divisional Sports Department and the Municipal Corporation.
The festival featured competitive events among girls including volleyball, karate, mass wrestling and weightlifting, drawing an enthusiastic response from young athletes.
Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar attended the event as the chief guest. He watched the girls’ volleyball matches and interacted with the players, inquiring about their interest and experience in the sport.
On the occasion, the Commissioner distributed trophies among the winner and runner-up teams of the National Volleyball Champion ship held in Karachi. He also presented an electric scooter to the best player of the tournament.
