Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani Highlights Modern Facilities at New Pakistan Consulate Building in Jeddah

New Consulate Building Expected to Improve Services for Overseas Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia

Consul General of Pakistan Consulate Jeddah, Syed Mustafa Rabbani, invited journalists from Jeddah to visit the new magnificent building of the consulate and apprised them of the facilities being provided to Pakistanis in every department.

Welcoming the journalists to the consulate, he explained in detail all the departments and facilities available there and answered questions from the media representatives. He stated that the new building of the Jeddah consulate is a major development and a sign of hope for Pakistanis living abroad.

He said that for years overseas Pakistanis, especially millions of people residing in the western region of Saudi Arabia, faced various difficulties because of the limited facilities and outdated infrastructure of the previous consulate building. With the completion of the new building, it is expected that these problems will now be reduced to a large extent.

Syed Mustafa Rabbani explained that the new building has been developed as a modern and well-organized diplomatic center. Offices have been arranged in a more efficient manner while special attention has also been given to public convenience and service delivery.

The new chancery includes spacious halls, organized service counters, an improved security system, and a modern technology-equipped environment, reflecting the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to addressing the needs of overseas Pakistanis.

Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia number in the millions, with a large concentration residing in Jeddah and nearby regions. These individuals depend on the consulate for passports, visas, identity cards, legal documents, and other consular services.

In the past, issues such as limited space, long waiting lines, and a disorganized system in the old building often resulted in public complaints. A major objective of the new building is to eliminate these issues and improve the overall experience for visitors.

Better waiting areas have been established to reduce crowding and disorder, while separate counters for different services have also been introduced so that applicants do not face unnecessary delays. Officials believe that if these facilities are managed effectively, they can significantly improve the overall functioning of the consulate.

The new building also symbolizes the strong relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The diplomatic facilities provided by the Saudi government and Pakistan’s efforts to improve services for its overseas community reflect the close cooperation between the two countries.

The Consul General described the new building of the Pakistani Consulate in Jeddah as a positive and welcome development that not only provides modern infrastructure but also gives overseas Pakistanis confidence that their concerns are being taken seriously.

Concluding the session, Syed Mustafa Rabbani also referred to May 5 as an important day for Pakistan, saying that the country’s brave forces created history through the “Battle of Haq” and the “Battle of Marsoon.” He added that efforts are being made to invite the Pakistani community to the consulate on May 10 in connection with this occasion.

The visiting journalists thanked the Consul General and remarked that the new consulate building presents a positive image of Pakistan abroad and is a source of pride for every Pakistani.
