President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” and expressed a desire to make Canada the 51st U.S. state. He warned Mexico and Canada to curb illegal immigration and drug trafficking or face a 25% tariff.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau firmly rejected the proposal, stating, “Canada will never merge with the U.S.”
