Mandi Bahauddin tax collection and departmental performance were reviewed, with officials directed to improve revenue collection and taxpayer services.

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Adeel Haider, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Dr. Iffat-un-Nisa visited the Excise and Taxation Department in Mandi Bahauddin.

During her visit, she conducted a detailed review of the Mandi Bahauddin Tax Collection process, departmental performance and ongoing initiatives.

District Excise and Taxation Officer Chaudhry Mukhtar Ahmed Gondal and other relevant officials briefed Dr. Iffat-un-Nisa on the department’s overall performance.

The briefing covered tax collection targets, progress achieved so far and the facilities being provided to taxpayers.

Officials also discussed measures being taken to improve revenue collection and ensure that taxpayers receive proper guidance and services.

Dr. Iffat-un-Nisa said that the timely collection of government revenue plays an important role in providing resources for public welfare and development activities.

She emphasized that every possible facility should be extended to taxpayers to make the tax payment process easier and more efficient.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed officials to ensure transparency, merit and excellent service delivery in departmental operations.

She stressed that departmental matters should be handled in a transparent manner and that citizens should receive proper assistance when dealing with tax-related issues.

Dr. Iffat-un-Nisa further directed the concerned officials to intensify effective measures for achieving the Mandi Bahauddin Tax Collection targets.

She said that improved revenue collection would help strengthen the resources available for public welfare and development initiatives.

The officials were also directed to increase public awareness about the importance of paying taxes on time.

Dr. Iffat-un-Nisa emphasized that citizens should be comprehensively informed about their tax responsibilities and the importance of timely payments.
