US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have jointly declared their commitment to preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Speaking at a press conference, Trump announced the reinstatement of his administration’s “Maximum Pressure Policy” on Tehran, which includes stricter sanctions and action against entities attempting to bypass them.
Trump also issued a stern warning, directing his administration to “obliterate” Iran if it attempts to assassinate him. Meanwhile, Netanyahu accused Iran of plotting to kill him using proxy groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
Iran has not yet responded to these latest remarks from the US president.
