Five Thai nationals, recently freed from Hamas captivity, arrived at Bangkok’s main airport, where they were met with emotional embraces from their families. The hostages had been held in Gaza since Hamas launched its attack on Israel in October.

Thai officials have been actively involved in negotiations to secure the release of their citizens, as dozens of Thai workers were among those abducted. The returnees, visibly shaken but relieved, expressed gratitude for the diplomatic efforts that brought them home. Thailand continues to work for the release of any remaining citizens still held in Gaza.
