On the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Awareness programs are going on for farmers to increase the production of cotton. An awareness seminar was organized by Foji Fertilizer Company for better production of cotton. In which a large number of farmers participated. Attended the seminar by Head of Agri Services Hassan Raza of Foji Fertilizer Company said that Pakistan’s lands are very suitable for cotton production, the largest part of Pakistan’s export is cotton products. In 2022-23, export of cotton has earned more than 3.8 billion foreign exchange. The average production of cotton per acre in Pakistan is about 15 maunds per acre, while progressive farmers in Pakistan are getting 40-35 maunds of production per acre. FFC’s agricultural expert Hassan Raza said that through the balanced use of fertilizers in Pakistan. More than 50% increase in cotton production is possible. He emphasized to the farmers that by adopting modern technology and balanced use of fertilizers in the light of the soil, cotton production can be significantly increased. He further informed that more than 4 million tons of FFC in Pakistan Along with composting, a team of agricultural experts across the country. The center is also active for the practical training of Farmers. This seminar is also a link in the same chain. Head of Sales Foji Fertilizer Ahmad Jawad urged farmers to double their paddy and cotton production by becoming part of FFC’s agricultural training programme.
