Islamabad: The National Security Committee (NSC) meeting is currently underway in the National Assembly, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and other key political and military leaders.
The meeting officially commenced with the presence of Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Director General ISI Lt. General Nadeem Anjum, and provincial chief ministers, including Ali Amin Gandapur (KP), Maryam Nawaz (Punjab), Murad Ali Shah (Sindh), and Sarfraz Bugti (Balochistan).
Governors of all four provinces, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, and IGs of all four provinces are also participating in the session.
While PTI members have boycotted the meeting, PPP’s delegation, led by Bilawal Bhutto, includes 16 parliamentary members. MQM’s delegation, led by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, comprises four members, whereas JUI-F’s delegation, led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, is also in attendance.
