Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Division Shoaib Iqbal Syed directed the redesigning of 4 main intersections of the city, under the PSAP program Arts Council Chowk, College Chowk, Mall Mandi Chowk and University Chowk will be redesigned which will solve the traffic problems. Addressing a meeting to review the performance of various departments in his office, he also directed to speed up the cleaning of street lights installed on the major roads of the city and to replace the damaged street lights. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Safdar Hussain, DG. PHA Muhammad Ikram Malik, Director Development Dr. Saifullah Bhatti, Director Local Government Shahid Farooq Warraich and Director Public Relations Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq. Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed removed the obstacles faced during the laying of sewage pipes in various parts of the city, especially Ghallah Mandi, Noor Park, Multan Road, Manzoor Colony, Kacha Pakka Noor-shah Road, Imamia Colony, Farid Town and Chak No. 95/6R under the PASP program. Directed to form a committee headed by Director Local Government to get the help of the Municipal Corporation to complete the remaining work as per the timeline. It was informed in the meeting that there are 1148 street lights on the main roads of the city which are being cleaned in phases and all this work will be completed by the end of this month. Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed also directed to beautify Jinnah Library Chowk and construct a memorial there.
