Islamabad – In a major financial relief for Pakistan, China has extended the repayment period for a $2 billion loan by one year.

The Ministry of Finance confirmed the extension, stating that the loan was originally due for repayment on March 24. This move provides Pakistan with crucial economic breathing space, as the country navigates financial challenges and seeks to stabilize its economy.

China remains a key ally, consistently supporting Pakistan’s economic stability through loans and investment partnerships. Will this extension help ease Pakistan’s financial strain, or will further assistance be needed
