U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has expressed his intention to use economic power against Canada as part of his plan to merge the country into the United States.
When asked by French news agency AFP on Tuesday if he would consider using military force, Trump replied, “No, economic power.”
He added, “Canada and the U.S. together would be truly remarkable. You’d get rid of this artificially drawn line and see how it looks. It would also be much better for national security.”
