Double-decker buses will hit Karachi’s roads this year, starting on Shahrah-e-Faisal. Sindh Minister for Transport, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced preparations are underway for their procurement. He also emphasized the government’s commitment to transport projects across Sindh.

Memon clarified delays in the Red Line BRT project are due to utility relocations, not government inefficiency, and assured timely completion of pending projects.

Highlighting other initiatives, he announced the upcoming inauguration of Malir Expressway by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, aimed at easing Karachi’s traffic. Special buses for women and electric vehicles (EVs) are also set to launch, marking significant progress in urban transport.
