Faisalabad: Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Adha greetings to Muslims across Pakistan and said that the sacred occasion conveys the timeless message of sacrifice, obedience, selflessness, and service to humanity demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) and Hazrat Ismail (A.S.).

He stated that Eid-ul-Adha is not merely about the sacrifice of animals, but also teaches the sacrifice of hatred, prejudice, selfishness, and ego in order to promote love, humanity, brotherhood, and social harmony.

Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat said that Pakistan is a beautiful combination of different religions, cultures, and traditions, and such occasions provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen unity, national harmony, and mutual respect among citizens.

He emphasized that the nation must rise above divisions and work together for the progress, stability, peace, and prosperity of Pakistan. He added that a strong and peaceful Pakistan is the collective dream of every Pakistani citizen.

The Bishop described Pakistan as a great blessing from Almighty Allah and urged all citizens to fulfill their responsibilities for the country’s security, development, and survival.

He also offered prayers for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and protection against internal and external threats, saying that the country should continue moving forward as a symbol of brotherhood, harmony, and progress.

Paying tribute to martyrs and defenders of the homeland, Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat said the nation must remember the sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and patriotic citizens who laid down their lives for the dignity, stability, and protection of the country.

He further stressed the importance of sharing Eid happiness with the poor, needy, orphans, patients, and underprivileged members of society, stating that true joy lies in bringing smiles to the faces of others.

Highlighting the importance of interfaith harmony and humanity, he said that mutual respect, religious tolerance, and compassion are the foundations of a peaceful and civilized society.

Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat also appealed to the nation to offer special prayers on Eid-ul-Adha for the oppressed people of Kashmir and Palestine and prayed for an end to injustice, violence, and oppression across the world.

He concluded by saying that the people of Pakistan have always represented peace, tolerance, humanity, and brotherhood, and these values will continue guiding the nation toward greater stability and development in the future
