In Faisalabad, the Department of Environment is actively enforcing the Punjab Environmental Protection (Smog Prevention and Control) Rule 2023. Deputy Director Johar Abbas Randhawa reported the sealing of a steam boiler at an industrial unit in Dhanula, resulting in a fine of 400,000 PKR for the owner. Additionally, the boiler of a textile unit was sealed, and its owner was fined 300,000 PKR. The team also shut down a boiler at an industrial unit in Acid Mills Chowk, imposing a fine of 600,000 PKR on the owner for violations.
