Poetry Sessions, Theater, and Music Celebrate the Legacy of Munir Niazi
Faisalabad: The Punjab Council of Arts, Faisalabad Division, organized a one-day Munir Niazi Literary Festival, celebrating the life and poetry of the renowned poet Munir Niazi, featuring poetry recitals, theater performances, music sessions, and literary discussions, The festival began with a discussion on Munir Niazi’s life and work, chaired by famous poet A.H. Atif, with participation from literary figures Shafqat Hussain Shafqat, Qamar Bukhari, and Arif Bukhari, The poetry session brought together leading national poets including Ali Zaryoun, Ahmed Saeed, Dr. Tahir Shaheer, Zahid Fakhri, Salman Gilani, Arif Bukhari, Nasir Maroof, Mah Noor, A.H. Atif, Shehzad Baig, among others, Distinguished guests such as Hammad Sarwar, General Manager UBL, Major (R) Shahnawaz Al-Hassan, Chairman Pasban Group, and Qurrat-ul-Ain, CEO ITHM, also attended, participating in various sessions on information technology, social issues, and the organization of the literary festival, Students from FAST University performed the thematic play ‘Shartiya Mithay’, which was highly appreciated by the audience, The event was attended by Maqubool Ahmad Malik, Director Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad, and Asad Hayat, Assistant Director Program, who praised the efforts of the guest poets, UBL, ITHM, and Pasban Group in organizing the festival, A large number of literary and social figures, along with enthusiasts, appreciated the festival and expressed the hope that such literary activities would continue in the future.
