Former Director of University of Gujarat Mandi Bahauddin Campus Mian Zaheeruddin Babar has said that the Urban Community Development Council (SHATK) is undoubtedly a great institution of public service, which has taken the form of a tall tree today due to 67 years of continuous hard work, dedication and sacrifices, every flower and every fragrance of which is no less than a blessing for the poor, needy, needy and deserving people of Mandi Bahauddin. This institution is the fruit of the selfless efforts of those people who dedicated themselves to SHATK with the sole intention of serving the will of Allah Almighty and His creation, and along with honor and dignity in this world, they have achieved success in the hereafter, which is certainly worthy of pride. He expressed these views after the 67th annual meeting of SHATK. Dr. Kanwal Saeed Khawaja, President SHATK, Abdul Hameed Buland, President PMA Dr. Tariq Mahmood Chadhar, General Secretary SHATK Mian Talat Mahmood, Sheikh Ijaz Ahmed, Raja Zafar Hameed Khan and General Manager Shatak Chaudhry Riyat Ali, along with former Chief Manager Habib Bank, while talking to District Bureau Chief Samaa Lahore and PTV News Mandi correspondent Bahauddin Raja Muhammad Ayub during an exclusive interview, they paid tribute to Shatak’s 67 years of excellent services and saluted the spirit of service of all the officials, workers and volunteers associated with it, while Abdul Hameed Buland’s services as former president were also appreciated. Mian Zaheeruddin Babar emphasized that Shatak’s “call for welfare” should be conveyed to overseas Pakistani brothers, sons and daughters through social media and personal contacts. If a few hundred overseas Pakistanis give just $100 per month in the form of Zakat, the lives of hundreds of deserving families can change and this can be the best means of attaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty. There is a need to fulfill this duty more effectively in order to achieve the spirit of serving humanity and the pleasure of God. Finally, a special prayer was offered for all the friends, workers and leaders who passed away during the 67-year journey of Shatak, may Allah Almighty elevate their ranks, forgive them and grant the honor of acceptance of their services. The selfless efforts of the entire Shatak team are undoubtedly commendable and this institution will continue to be a bright beacon of service to humanity in the future, God willing.
