Decision taken to implement Chief Minister Punjab’s vision through public and private sector collaboration
Faisalabad: In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif it has been decided to initiate development projects in every sector of Faisalabad Division through collaboration between the public and private sectors with the aim of ensuring rapid progress for both the division and the public through a transparent Public Private Partnership model in this regard a meeting of the Divisional Public Private Partnership Working Party was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar which was attended by Deputy Commissioners of all four districts and officers of relevant departments the Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners to identify viable and practical projects for the upcoming financial year and emphasized that projects should be selected with the active cooperation of the private sector to promote public welfare and economic growth he stated that as head of the committee he would approve the implementation of projects worth up to Rs 5 billion and urged officials to encourage private sector participation in projects related to economic zones hospitals parks roads and sewerage systems during the meeting it was informed that initial steps have already been taken in Faisalabad Division including the establishment of an eco forest in FDA City an industrial zone in Shorkot old age home and slaughterhouse in Jhang and the development of a food street parking plazas and a Vehicle Inspection and Certification System VICS Center in Faisalabad city which are expected to create employment opportunities and significantly improve urban facilities.
