Pakistan Railways Achieves Record Revenue of Rs. 33 Billion in Five Months

Pakistan Railways has set a historic milestone by generating revenue of Rs. 33 billion within just five months. According to a report by a leading national newspaper, the department’s spokesperson stated that this significant income was achieved through passenger trains and freight services.

In comparison, the revenue during the same period last year was Rs. 19 billion, reflecting a substantial year-on-year growth. Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Railways, Amir Ali Baloch, expressed optimism about commencing groundwork for the Karachi-to-Peshawar ML-1 project by March 2025, marking a major step towards infrastructural development in the country.
