An important meeting of the Tehsil Anti-Kite Flying Committee was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Phalia Waheed Hassan Gondal, in which DSP Phalia Muhammad Azam, SHO Phalia Police Station Inspector Muhammad Riaz Supra and other concerned officials participated. The meeting discussed in detail effective and practical measures to prevent kite flying. The aim of the meeting was to ensure the safety of human lives and completely eliminate illegal activities. The meeting paid special attention to issues such as strict crackdown on kite flying, complete ban on the sale of chemical strings and other illegal materials, conducting public awareness campaigns, mutual cooperation between the relevant departments and further strengthening the field-level surveillance system. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Phalia Waheed Hassan issued clear instructions and said that implementation of the zero tolerance policy against kite flying will be ensured to protect human lives and no negligence or carelessness will be tolerated. He directed the concerned officers to discharge their responsibilities honestly and play a full role in making the public aware of the dangers of this dangerous sport. Waheed Hassan Gondal further said that the loss of precious lives due to kite flying is unbearable, therefore, indiscriminate action will be taken against those violating the law so that Phalia can be made a safe and peaceful city.
