Shafiq Ahmed Dogar Chairs Sahiwal Meeting, Emphasizes Transparency, Merit, and Timely Completion of Road Projects
An important meeting was held at the Commissioner Office, Sahiwal, under the chairmanship of Director Development and Finance Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, in which tenders for various development projects related to the Highway Department of Sahiwal District were officially opened. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Technical Imran Khan, a large number of Highway Department officers and contractors. During the meeting, progress was made on the construction and repair projects of several important roads. An estimated cost of Rs 40,049,000 has been allocated for the construction of 0.25 km long Bhutwangar Road, Rs 40,058,000 for the rehabilitation and improvement of the 0.25 km long Barki Street Scheme No. 3 road, Rs 40,042,000 for the rehabilitation of Mohammadpur Road from Shamdar to Chak No. 90/6R. Similarly, Rs 40,043,000 has been allocated for the metal road of Bhutwangar with a length of 0.25 km, Rs 40,043,000 for the construction of metal road of Mohammadia Town 86/6R with Tawakal Shirazi, Rs 40,053,000 for the rehabilitation of the road of Muslim Bin Aqeel Colony with a length of Gali Ground, Rs 40,041,000 for the metal road in the inner LBDC Colony, while Rs 40,044,000 has been allocated for the construction and repair of the road of Gali No. 3, 4 Mohalla Ansari. Addressing the meeting, Shafiq Ahmed Dogar directed to ensure transparency and merit and said that all development projects should be completed as per the stipulated standards and time frame so that the people can get better travel facilities. He expressed his resolve that timely completion of district development projects would not only strengthen the infrastructure but would also boost the local economy.
