Canadian pipeline operator Trans Mountain is exploring expansion projects in both the short and long terms, aiming to increase its system’s capacity by 200,000 to 300,000 barrels per day (bpd). Jason Balasch, a company vice president, revealed the plans on Thursday.

The expansion would significantly enhance the pipeline’s ability to transport oil, supporting Canada’s growing production needs. Trans Mountain is looking to meet rising demand while navigating environmental and regulatory challenges surrounding the expansion efforts.
