Faisalabad: Following the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, citizens’ issues related to Municipal Corporation, WASA, PHA, FDA, Punjab Food Authority, Environmental Protection, Board of Intermediate, and Waste Management Company will now be resolved through a single WhatsApp message. Steps to launch the “Hello Faisalabad” central WhatsApp number for registering and quickly addressing municipal service complaints have been accelerated. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar, in which experts from BILYTICA company briefed via video link on the functioning of the Central Complaint Management System. The Commissioner said the process for citizens to register complaints will be made extremely simple, and complaints received via the central WhatsApp number—whether in text, photo, or audio—will be immediately forwarded to the relevant department, while feedback from the complainant will also be included in the system after resolution. He clarified that this system for resolving public complaints will initially be launched as a pilot project in Faisalabad and, upon success, will be implemented in other districts of the division. It was informed in the meeting that company experts will also hold workshops in Faisalabad in the coming days with officials from the relevant departments to demonstrate the practical functioning of the system. Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Nadeem Nasir and officers from the concerned departments were also present at the meeting.
