DSP Legal Mandi Bahauddin Ghazanfar Hayat Tala has said that police officers are being provided with modern technology to suppress criminal elements. The police are now not using third degree for investigation but using modern technology to tighten the noose against the accused, which is enabling timely identification and assessment of criminal elements. The ground against criminal elements has been narrowed by the use of modern technology. He expressed these views while holding a meeting with investigation officers from across the district and having a special conversation with Bureau Chief “Samaa” Raja Muhammad Ayub. Ghazanfar Hayat Tala said that until the police is built on modern scientific lines and does not implement technology, the crime graph cannot come down. He said that the police has been able to cope with the challenges of the present era and to outwit the criminals by solving sensitive security issues and saving the lives of people. Modern scientific technology has to be brought into practice for the practical implementation of the law by ensuring the protection of property. DSP Ghazanfar Hayat Tala further said that with the use of modern technology, the investigation will be on merit. No criminal will escape the clutches of the law and no real sinner will be found innocent. He said that he has a close eye on the investigation of all serious cases registered in police stations across the district. He said that the Mandi Bahauddin Police has set clear priorities for eliminating crimes and has committed the District Police to immediately resolve the police-related issues of the citizens.
