Region Police Faisalabad Honors Families of Martyrs

Faisalabad: On the special directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, the day was dedicated to the martyrs of Police Region Faisalabad, with a series of events held to honor their families.The RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera attended a dignified ceremony organized in honor of the families of police martyrs. Senior police officers including City Police Officer Faisalabad Sahibzada Bilal Umar, DPO Jhang Captain (Retd) Bilal Iftikhar Kiani, DPO Chiniot Dr Atif Naveed, SSP Operations Furqan Bilal, SSP Patrolling Mirza Anjum Kamal, CTO Nasir Javed Rana along with other officers, media representatives, and prominent members of civil society were present.Families of police martyrs from across the Faisalabad region were specially invited. Children of the martyrs were taken to recreational spots under the supervision of SSP Operations Furqan Bilal, and a meal was arranged for the families.Later, a formal ceremony was held at a private hotel in honor of the martyrs’ families. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by stage performances and expressions by the children of the martyrs.Addressing the gathering, RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera said the purpose of the event was to keep alive the memory of the supreme sacrifices rendered by police martyrs. He stated that Faisalabad Region Police is proud custodian of 187 martyrs, adding that martyrdom is a revered status bestowed only upon the chosen ones by Almighty Allah. He emphasized that the day symbolized love for the martyrs and solidarity with their families.The RPO Sohail Akhtar further said that the brave martyrs laid down their lives to ensure a peaceful and secure future for the nation. “We will never leave the families of our martyrs alone. These martyrs are the pride of the police force, and their families’ welfare remains our top priority,” he said, adding that welfare initiatives for the families would continue in the future.
