Renowned clinical histopathologist Dr Rafia addresses training session at Kamalia THQ hospital

An important training session was held today at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kamalia, in which renowned clinical histopathologist from Lahore, Dr. Rafia participated. All consultant doctors, medical officers, operation theatre staff and nursing staff of the hospital actively attended the session.The training focused on FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology), the correct method of taking biopsies and the proper procedures for preserving samples and transporting them to the laboratory. Dr. Rafia briefed the participants in detail and emphasized that preserving samples correctly and ensuring their timely delivery to the histopathology laboratory is a crucial step. She explained that improper preservation of samples can lead to substandard, inaccurate, or misleading test results.Speaking on the occasion, Medical Superintendent Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kamalia, Dr. Mian Adeel Arif said that such training sessions play a vital role in enhancing the clinical skills of doctors and medical staff, which directly benefits patients through improved treatment. He further stressed that the continuous organization of such training programs is the need of the hour.
At the end of the ceremony, a cake was cut in connection with the New Year. All participants reaffirmed their commitment to providing quality, timely and dignified healthcare services to patients at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kamalia, in line with the vision and mission of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, ensuring that the public receives the best possible treatment without compromising their dignity.
