Faisalabad Region Police Recover Rs1.68bn Stolen Property, Arrest Over 12,000 POs in 2025

Faisalabad:Under the supervision of Regional Police Officer Faisalabad, Sohail Akhtar Sukhera ,the Faisalabad Region Police achieved significant operational milestones during 2025, including the recovery of over Rs1.684 billion worth of stolen property while tracing 20,620 cases of theft, robbery and dacoity.
Police successfully investigated 430 murder cases, 19 cases of robbery-cum-murder, 11 kidnappings for ransom, 190 gang rape cases and three rape-cum-murder cases. Action against organised crime led to the arrest of 1,317 members of 485 gangs with recoveries exceeding Rs454.3 million. A total of 12,117 proclaimed offenders wanted in serious crimes were also apprehended.
A sustained crackdown on narcotics resulted in the arrest of 7,505 suspects and registration of 7,431 cases, with the recovery of large quantities of drugs including 3,423kg hashish, 675kg heroin, 138kg ice, 191kg opium and 105,593 litres of liquor.To strengthen public trust, particularly among minority communities, 11,629 complaints were resolved through six Mithaq Centres, while 21,765 complaints were addressed at Tahaffuz Centres. Fifteen Khidmat Markaz and 20 Khidmat Counters provided services to over 913,650 citizens. More than 8,300 public issues were resolved through daily open courts and online complaint mechanisms.All 81 police stations in the region were upgraded under the Special Initiative Police Stations programme. Welfare measures included the recruitment of children of four martyrs on family claims, promotions of 248 officers and officials, and disposal of over 2,300 disciplinary matters. Capacity-building efforts trained over 5,100 officers through 153 courses, while community policing initiatives engaged more than 2,900 students.The establishment of the Safe City Project in Faisalabad, along with awareness seminars on drug prevention and women’s rights and anti-riot training for the force, further reinforced public safety. Police officers reaffirmed their commitment to protecting citizens’ dignity, preventing crime, ensuring justice and prioritising the welfare of the police force.
