Faisalabad: Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry carried out a detailed inspection of the FDA Complex building to review anti-dengue measures. Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Director IT Yasir Ejaz Chattha and other officers accompanied him during the visit.
The DG FDA inspected the rooftop of the building and, while reviewing cleanliness arrangements, directed the concerned staff to ensure regular cleaning of the roof while maintaining all necessary measures to prevent the breeding of dengue larvae. He emphasized that all potential sources of dengue larvae must be eliminated at all costs and that no stagnant water should be allowed to accumulate anywhere.
He also inspected the surrounding areas of the FDA Complex, including the parking area, stores, various offices and the one-window waiting area. Special attention was given to checking flower pots, plant beds and water tanks to ensure that there was no negligence in anti-dengue surveillance.
The DG FDA instructed the staff to remain vigilant not only in the main and sub-offices but also to keep the administrators of private housing societies active regarding anti-dengue measures. He stressed the need to maintain close coordination with the district administration and the Health Department to make anti-dengue efforts more effective.
Emphasizing public awareness, the DG FDA underlined the importance of continuing anti-dengue awareness campaigns so that responsible implementation of preventive measures can be promoted.
