Faisalabad: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, visited the Faisalabad Press Club accompanied by SP Lyallpur Town Abid Hussain Zafar, SDPOs and other senior police officers.RPO Fsd Sohail Sukhera was received by Press Club President Shahid Ali, office-bearers and senior journalists. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between the police and the media, ensuring timely and credible information for the public and promoting a positive image of law enforcement.
The RPO Sohail Sukhera lauded the media’s constructive and responsible role, saying an impartial press was essential for social stability and development. He assured journalists of full cooperation in addressing their concerns and implementing practical suggestions.
RPO Sohail Sukhera said a comprehensive strategy would be adopted to counter misinformation, rumours and negative propaganda, adding that public awareness about law and order situations depended largely on the media’s continuous efforts.
Media representatives reaffirmed their commitment to providing factual and transparent reporting. The RPO said police, with media support, would continue efforts to maintain peace, curb crime and resolve public grievances, terming police media cooperation vital for societal stability.
