Faisalabad: On the directives of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, the operation against illegal commercialisation in FDA-controlled residential colonies has been intensified. In this connection, the FDA enforcement team carried out action in Madina Town and sealed 23 properties where shops had been illegally established. According to details, under the supervision of Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin, an FDA enforcement team headed by Estate Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa inspected various residential colonies and found that in several properties in Madina Town, shops and other commercial constructions had been set up without approval, while in some cases property owners had failed to deposit assessed dues even after obtaining commercialisation approval. As a result, the shops and other commercial units were sealed and challans against the owners were submitted to the court of the Special Judicial Magistrate. The sealed properties include those located in W, Y, X and other blocks of Madina Town. The FDA administration has warned that owners must obtain commercialisation approval strictly in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations and pay all dues before converting residential properties into commercial use, otherwise further violations may lead to registration of criminal cases against the offenders.
