Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Syed Mustafa Rabbani , has emphasized that overseas Pakistani investors must strictly implement an effective investment strategy to help increase Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and strengthen the national economy. He assured investors that the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah would provide every possible support and guidance, adding that the Consulate’s doors are always open to assist the Pakistani business community.
He was addressing a ceremony organized by the **Pakistan Investors Forum Saudi Arabia (PIF)** in Jeddah. Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General said that Saudi Arabia offers a secure and highly favorable environment for Pakistani investors, with a well-established and stable regulatory framework for trade and investment supported by all relevant government institutions.
Congratulating **Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood** on his appointment as Chairman of the Pakistan Investors Forum Saudi Arabia, Syed Mustafa Rabbani assured him of the Consulate’s full cooperation. He noted that organizations like PIF play a vital role in strengthening economic and commercial relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the gathering, **Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood** said that, to unite Pakistani investors across the Kingdom, the **Pakistan Executive Forum** has recently been activated in **Riyadh** and the **Eastern Province (Dammam)**, with **Munir Ahmad Shad** appointed as its Chairman. He further announced that a **Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)** has been signed between the **Pakistan Investors Forum (PIF)**, **PIF Riyadh**, the **Eastern Province (Dammam)** chapter, and the **Pakistan Executive Forum** to bring Pakistani investors in Saudi Arabia onto a single collaborative platform.
He revealed that the Forum has successfully facilitated several major business agreements valued at **124 million, 38 million, 7 million, and 3 million**, reflecting the growing confidence of Pakistani investors and the expanding economic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood also informed participants that a recent **PIF delegation visited Sudan**, where it held high-level discussions with government officials regarding investment opportunities in the sectors of **mining, energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and industry**. Referring to an online meeting with the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment**, he said that Pakistani investors based in Saudi Arabia have significant opportunities to invest in Pakistan’s **agriculture, tourism, mining, and information technology (IT)** sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, **Abdul Khaliq Lak**, Secretary General of the Forum, stressed the importance of improving educational facilities, healthcare services, housing projects, and other essential community needs for overseas Pakistanis. He said that a strong and prosperous community is built through shared responsibility, mutual cooperation, and positive engagement.
He reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to promoting Pakistani investment, developing skilled manpower, and creating greater opportunities for young Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia, while expressing optimism about the bright future of economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony was also addressed by **Munir Ahmad Shad**, Chairman of the Pakistan Executive Group, and **Ghulam Mustafa**, President of the Pakistan Investors Forum Riyadh, who highlighted the importance of further strengthening trade, investment, and business collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
