Joint Efforts Underway to Make Faisalabad Region Drug-Free, One-Day Training Seminar on Narcotics Investigation Held

Faisalabad: In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to make the region drug-free, joint efforts by the civil and police administration are actively underway across the Faisalabad Region. In this connection, a one-day training seminar on Narcotics Investigation was organized under the auspices of the Regional Police at the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium.

Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar attended the seminar as the chief guest, while Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sakhira and City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the participants, the Commissioner said that the RPO Faisalabad is taking revolutionary steps for the welfare of police officers and personnel, adding that professional development of the force is a highly commendable initiative. He reiterated his commitment to continue organizing such workshops in the future and announced that civil officers would also be included in upcoming sessions.

The Commissioner stated that the credit for effectively curbing drug dealers in the region goes to the RPO Faisalabad. He further informed that Punjab’s first Drug Rehabilitation Centre is going to be established in Faisalabad. Terming the police as the frontline of defence, he said special fee concessions have been granted in public schools for the children of police martyrs, ghazis, and serving as well as retired police officers and personnel.

On the occasion, RPO Sohail Akhtar Sakhira thanked the Commissioner for attending the seminar and expressed gratitude for the fee concessions provided to the children of police personal in public schools. At the conclusion of the seminar, police officers and personnel present in the hall stood up to express their appreciation and gratitude to the Commissioner Faisalabad and the RPO
