Warning to America as Emirati Billionaire Khalaf Al Habtoor Rejects Lindsey Graham’s Call for Gulf War Against Iran
American Senator Lindsey Graham had addressed the Gulf states stating that they are under attack and must fight alongside America against Iran, he specifically criticized Saudi Arabia saying American interests are being harmed while Gulf states remain silent spectators. Senator Graham said in a US television interview that Iran and Venezuela together hold thirty one percent of the world’s oil reserves and if America gains control over these reserves it will become a nightmare for China and bring enormous wealth to the United States, he said this is the time for America to fully utilize its power and Gulf states must also play their role. Prominent Emirati billionaire businessman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor strongly criticized Senator Graham’s statement saying we know exactly why we are being attacked and we also know who dragged this entire region into this dangerous war, he said you started a war without consulting us and now you want us to enter the battlefield and sacrifice our sons for you. Al Habtoor said Senator Graham himself has exposed the real issue and now the picture is completely clear that this war is neither for freedom nor for security but purely a war for oil and dollars, he said this admission came from the American senator’s own mouth about what they want from Iran and Venezuela’s oil. The Emirati businessman said we do not need your protection we have spent billions of dollars on our own security we have purchased weapons from you this is your business not charity, he said this entire weapons industry thrives on wars and why we should sacrifice our people to become part of it. He strongly criticized Senator Graham saying you may be a member of the US Senate but your words sound like a member of the Israeli Knesset you defend Israel’s interests more than the American people, he said your statements clearly show you do not care about the American people but only about Israel’s security and expansionism. Al Habtoor said we will not fight this war for others interests nor will we sacrifice our sons, he said why should we die in a fight that could have been avoided through diplomacy and which was based on falsehood from the beginning. He further said we want peace and stability we will not be forced onto the path of war nor will we become fuel for anyone’s war, he said Gulf states have chosen the path of development and cannot sacrifice their people’s future to war. Meanwhile normal life continues as usual in the United Arab Emirates with airports open ports operating and infrastructure functioning perfectly, the UAE provides equal protection to all its residents and tourists whether Arab Israeli European American or Asian all are safe here, the UAE knows that media wants to drag it into war but it is not falling into this trap and is determining its own foreign policy. This incident has highlighted the growing distance in relations between America and Gulf states and the Arab world has sent a clear message that it is not ready to become part of anyone’s proxy war.
