Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who resides in Los Angeles, shared her firsthand account of the devastation caused by the wildfires in California’s forests.
In a post on the social media platform X, Preity expressed her sorrow over the damage caused by the fires in Los Angeles.
She wrote, “I never thought I would live to see a day when fires in Los Angeles would destroy neighborhoods around us, forcing my loved ones to evacuate their homes or be put on high alert.”
The actress continued, “I never imagined a day when I would find myself, with my young children and grandparents, watching ash falling from the smoky skies, feeling fear and uncertainty wondering what would happen if the strong winds didn’t stop.”
Preity Zinta expressed her sadness over the destruction around her, thanking God that they are still safe.
She wrote, “My prayers are with all those who have been displaced and lost everything.”
She also expressed hope that the winds would soon die down and that the fires would be brought under control.
At the end of her post, she thanked the firefighters and everyone who is helping the people of Los Angeles during this difficult time.
