Islamabad: The PECA Amendment Act 2025 has officially come into effect following the issuance of a gazette notification by the Ministry of Law. Additionally, the notification for the Digital Nation Bill has also been released.
Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court seeking to nullify the PECA Amendment Act.
It is worth noting that President Asif Ali Zardari signed both the PECA Amendment Bill 2025 and the Digital Nation Bill 2025 yesterday, making them official laws.
The amendment bill was first passed by the National Assembly, followed by approval from the Senate, before being sent to the President for final approval.
