Kyiv, 24 February 2025 – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy held a news conference alongside European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and other world leaders at a summit in Kyiv, marking the start of Ukraine’s fourth year of all-out war with Russia.
The summit comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump called Zelenskiy an unpopular “dictator”, urging him to cut a quick peace deal or risk losing his country. Despite Trump’s remarks, European leaders reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, emphasizing continued military and economic aid as the war rages on.
