Wildfires raging across South Korea have doubled in size, prompting authorities to call it the country’s worst natural fire disaster. At least 26 people have been killed, and historic temples have been reduced to ashes.

The fires, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, have spread rapidly, forcing mass evacuations and overwhelming firefighting efforts. Emergency responders are struggling to contain the blazes, which have destroyed homes, forests, and cultural landmarks.
