Islamabad – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Mr. Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister for Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkiye, in Islamabad on 8 April 2025.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy, oil and gas exploration, and infrastructure development. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Turkiye’s support and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening energy ties with Turkiye for mutual growth and sustainability.
Mr. Bayraktar reaffirmed Turkiye’s interest in expanding energy collaboration and highlighted investment opportunities for Turkish companies in Pakistan’s energy market. The meeting reflects the shared vision of both countries to deepen strategic and economic cooperation, especially in vital sectors like energy.
