UN Chief Slams Israel for Allowing Only a ‘Teaspoon’ of Aid into Gaza

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned Israel for authorizing what he called only a “teaspoon” of aid into Gaza, while the region urgently needs a “flood” of humanitarian relief. Despite some trucks being allowed through the Kerem Shalom crossing, just a fraction of the needed supplies are reaching Gaza due to insecurity and logistical barriers. The UN reports that current aid levels meet only 10% of essential needs. Guterres urged Israel to remove all obstacles to aid delivery, emphasizing that humanitarian access is non-negotiable and must comply with international law.
