Faisalabad – Dr. Ishtiaq Hasan, Director General Agriculture Punjab, announced that the government is prioritizing agricultural productivity to tackle food security challenges. During a meeting at AARI to approve the Maize Production Project 2025, he stressed the need for new seed varieties to withstand harsh conditions. Maize, crucial for food and animal feed, is Pakistan’s third major crop. The project was approved following expert recommendations to enhance maize production.
