Eid-ul-Adha Promotes the Spirit of Sacrifice, Compassion and Service to Humanity: Professor Dr. Raoof Azam
Faisalabad : Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad, Professor Dr. Raoof Azam, has extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to faculty members, university staff, students and the entire Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
He said that Eid-ul-Adha is not only a religious festival but also a profound message of sacrifice, compassion, brotherhood, patience, tolerance and service to
humanity. He remarked that this sacred occasion teaches people to sacrifice their personal desires, interests and ego for the sake of Allah Almighty and the welfare of humanity.
In his special Eid message, the Vice Chancellor said that the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) and Hazrat Ismail (A.S.) remains an eternal example of obedience, loyalty and devotion for Muslims around the world. Eid-ul-Adha reminds humanity that true success does not lie in self-interest alone but in sharing happiness with others and
working for the betterment of society. He emphasized that in today’s world, social harmony, mutual respect and tolerance are more important than ever before. Therefore, people should remember the poor, needy, orphans and underprivileged segments of society during Eid celebrations so that the true spirit of Eid can be upheld.
Professor Dr. Raoof Azam said that universities are not merely centers of education but also institutions for character building, national awareness and the promotion of human values. He urged students to adopt the teachings of Eid-ul-Adha in their practical lives and play a constructive role in promoting values such as sacrifice, honesty, kindness and social welfare. He stated that the youth are the bright future of Pakistan and if they move forward with positive thinking, dedication and a sense of national responsibility, the country can achieve new heights of progress and prosperity.
The Vice Chancellor further said that the real message of Eid-ul-Adha lies in serving humanity, strengthening relationships and eliminating hatred from society. He stressed the need to promote patience, empathy and tolerance in social attitudes and to work collectively for peace, harmony and brotherhood in the country. He added that collective happiness can only be achieved when all segments of society are treated with dignity, respect and equal opportunities.
He expressed hope that the blessed moments of Eid-ul-Adha would bring peace, prosperity and blessings for the entire nation. Professor Dr. Raoof Azam prayed that Allah Almighty may bless Pakistan with peace, stability, unity and economic progress, ease the difficulties faced by the nation and grant everyone the ability to create ease and happiness for others.
At the end of his message, Professor Dr. Raoof Azam extended warm Eid greetings to teachers, employees, students, parents and the entire nation, expressing his hope that this blessed occasion would bring joy, success and countless blessings for everyone. He concluded his message by saying, “Eid Mubarak.”
