Death Toll of Terrorists in Operation Shaban Rises to 68, Total Reaches 105 Since July 5
Quetta (Syed Sardar Mohammad Khondai) The joint grand operation, Operation Shaban, launched by the Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan and Police against the terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij continued on Sunday.
According to security sources, 68 terrorists have been killed so far in this intelligence-based grand operation, while the total number of terrorists killed in various operations since July 5 has reached 105.
Security sources said that Operation Shaban is underway in the rugged mountainous areas adjacent to Ziarat, including Kharan, Mastung and other areas.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, while paying tribute to the operations of the security forces, said that the operation will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
Meanwhile, the bodies of police personnel martyred in Ziarat a few days ago are still lying at the sit-in at Koyla Phatak. The deadlock persisted in the negotiations held last night between the sit-in committee and Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and other government officials.
Due to the sit-in, the traffic system in Quetta has been severely affected and citizens are facing difficulties. In the scorching heat, immediate and meaningful negotiations are needed to end the unrest among the public.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operations of Operation Shaban, saying that the joint operations of the security institutions reflect the resolve to protect national security. I salute the bravery and professional capabilities of the officers and jawans.
