On January 20, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, in a daily press conference, responded to the expectation that President Trump might visit China within the first 100 days of taking office. She stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both nations, China is ready to maintain communication with the new U.S. administration based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and cooperation on common interests. China is also prepared to strengthen cooperation, properly manage differences, and advance China-U.S. relations from a new starting point.
