QUETTA: Security forces have killed 15 terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij during a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out across Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna, according to reports.
The operations were conducted in several districts, including Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki, as security forces intensified efforts to dismantle militant networks operating in the province.
According to security sources, the operations were launched on the basis of intelligence regarding the presence and activities of militants in the targeted areas. During the coordinated actions, security personnel engaged the terrorists and eliminated 15 of them.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants, according to the report.
Security officials said the operations inflicted significant losses on the militant network and disrupted its ability to carry out attacks in the region.
The latest operations come amid continued counterterrorism efforts in Balochistan, where security forces have been conducting intelligence-led actions against militant groups.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to continuing such operations to prevent terrorist groups from establishing footholds and to protect civilians and security personnel across the province.
