Quetta-Ziarat National Highway hit by consecutive terrorist attacks, over a dozen terrorists killed, several security personnel martyred, highway closed for traffic

The security situation on the national highway between Quetta and Ziarat has become extremely tense, where terrorists have spread fear and panic in the area by carrying out successive attacks at different locations.
According to security sources, terrorists ambushed FC personnel near Kuch Mor on the Ziarat National Highway. Immediately after the attack, security forces retaliated forcefully, resulting in an intense exchange of fire between the two sides.
According to sources, more than a dozen terrorists were killed during the retaliatory action and clearance operation, while fighting bravely, several security personnel embraced martyrdom and one personnel was injured. Heavy reinforcements have been dispatched on reports of the presence of more terrorists in the area, and a search and clearance operation is underway.
On the other hand, on the same highway, terrorists also targeted the squad of the Assistant Commissioner, Harnai. Two personnel were injured as a result of firing, who have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, at the Ghorgai location, terrorists attacked the camp of a company engaged in construction work on the Ziarat-Quetta National Highway. The attackers set fire to all the heavy machinery in the camp and reduced it to ashes, while two employees of the company were abducted and taken towards the mountains.
In view of the security situation, the administration has completely closed the Quetta-Ziarat National Highway for all types of traffic from both sides. A search operation by security forces is ongoing in the area.
Security agencies have appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and cooperate with security institutions.
