Excise South Zone’s Biggest Operation in History: Over 1 Ton of Ice Worth Rs 74 Billion Seized from Gadani

The Excise and Anti-Narcotics Department Balochistan South Zone has carried out the biggest operation in Pakistan’s history against the international drug mafia, recovering 1,013 kilograms of pure Ice (Crystal Meth) from the coastal area of Gadani, worth Rs 74.19 billion in the international market.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Director General Excise and Anti-Narcotics South Zone, Muhammad Zaman, on the special directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan and Secretary Excise Syed Zafar Ali Bukhari. This seizure has caused a historic loss of billions of dollars to the international drug mafia.
Details of Gadani Operation
The recovered drug is 1,013 kg of pure crystal methamphetamine (Ice), which was being smuggled with extreme sophistication.
Two-Year Performance Review
This operation is a continuation of successful operations conducted along the coastal belt during the last two years.
Mega Marine Operation: 425 kg Ice, 20 kg hashish and 5,076 units of foreign liquor and beer recovered, worth Rs 31.35 billion.

Major Anti-Narcotics Operation: 200 kg Ice, 600 kg hashish and 8,000 units of foreign liquor and beer recovered, worth approximately Rs 28 billion, which was destroyed on World Anti-Narcotics Day.
Other Operations: A total of 14,467 units of foreign liquor and beer were recovered in various other operations.

Two-Year Overall Result
During the last two years, Excise South Zone has collectively recovered 1,638 kg of Ice, 620 kg of hashish and 27,543 bottles/cans of foreign liquor and beer, causing a total international financial loss of Rs 133.56 billion to drug cartels.
Director General Muhammad Zaman said that the Excise Department will continue indiscriminate operations against drug smuggling to protect the young generation and ensure the security of the coastal borders.
