Human Tragedy Has Emerged in Balochistan, Political Parties Must Unite and Play Their Role – All Parties Conference

A representative All Parties Conference of the pro-people, patriotic, democratic, political and religious parties of the province was held at the residence of National Party’s Central Secretary General Mir Kabir Muhammad Shahi. The meeting was chaired by National Party’s Central President Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch.
The conference was attended by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s Provincial Amir Senator Maulana Abdul Waseh, Maulana Kamaluddin, Maulana Khurshid Ahmed, Hazara Democratic Party Chairman Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Qadir Nail, Daud Changezi, Awami National Party’s Provincial President Asghar Khan Achakzai, Provincial General Secretary Mabat Kaka, District President Sanaullah Kakar, Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party’s Provincial President Nasrullah Khan Zayrai, District Finance Secretary Bacha Khan Kakar,
National Democratic Movement’s Provincial President Ahmed Jan Khan, Inayatullah Shah, Balochistan National Party’s Central Secretary Labour Musa Baloch, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Provincial Vice Amir Jameel Ahmed Mushwani, Zahid Akhtar Baloch, National Party’s Central Secretary Information Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Provincial President Aslam Baloch, Provincial General Secretary Changez Hayee Baloch, Abdul Khaliq Baloch and Shawiz Bizenjo.
Addressing the conference, the participants said that a human tragedy has emerged in Balochistan, human life has lost its value. Politics, economy and daily life have been badly affected. Businesses and highways are closed, borders have been shut down, curfews are imposed sometimes openly and sometimes unannounced. The suspension of the supply of food items may cause a food crisis at any time.
The participants said that the incidents of Ziarat, Hanna Urak and then the cutting of fruit trees in Khad Kocha and the displacement of people demand that powerful forces have agreed on one point – that politics and political parties should become extinct here and politics should become a forbidden tree. In this situation, it is necessary for all political parties to adopt a joint stance and play a full political role.
The participants said that after the bitter experience of the PDM, it has become imperative to form a sustainable alliance at the level of Balochistan, for which mutual trust and respect are essential. The establishment has its own agenda; when they get stuck, they use the shoulders of politicians. For lasting peace, it is imperative that all democratic forces unite and launch a strong political movement.
They said that at this time, political parties in Balochistan are badly trapped between two powerful forces. On one hand, the government calls them facilitators, while on the other hand, organizations target them. In both cases, it is the political parties that suffer the loss.
The participants questioned that barbed wires were installed on the border by spending trillions of rupees, yet where are terrorists coming from to vacate areas in Ziarat and Hanna Urak? Politicians spent billions of rupees to provide electricity to people’s homes in remote areas, now QESCO has uprooted electricity poles, wires and transformers worth billions of rupees and pushed the people into darkness, while the government is getting away by providing solar panels for two million rupees each.
Declaring orchards as terrorists in Saranan, Ziarat Cross, Hanna Urak and Khad Kocha, cutting down trees and displacing people from their homes is the worst kind of dictatorship.
On this occasion, Maulana Abdul Waseh said that for the people, their hut, their garden, shop and business is their Pakistan. If their garden, shop, business and mud house is destroyed, then understand that their Pakistan has been snatched from them. He said that there was already resentment in two provinces, now by talking about new provinces, unrest and anxiety have also been created in Sindh.
It was agreed in the meeting that Pashtuns, Baloch and other nations living in Balochistan are not enemies of each other, but are equally entitled to their respective historical lands, national identity, political rights and resources. No force will be allowed to create hatred, conflict and mistrust among all the nations living in the province, while the Pashtun and Baloch nations will continue to struggle for the protection of their common rights on the basis of mutual respect, trust, national equality, constitution, democracy and political struggle.
In the end, the participants decided that other political parties of the province would be contacted as soon as possible and included in this alliance. According to the participants, this alliance will prove to be a milestone for the people of Balochistan. These parties have a clear stance that the resources of Balochistan belong to the people of Balochistan and there will be no compromise on it.
The plunder of the resources of the entire province and hostage-taking of politics is unacceptable to all the nations living in Balochistan, because this province is the common homeland of all the people living here and everyone has an equal right to its resources.
