A review meeting regarding preparations for the Punjab Youth Games 2026 was held at the DC Office in Mandi Bahauddin.
The meeting was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Municipal Services) Raja Haider Abbas.
Chief Executive Officer (Education) Madam Nuzhat Kulsoom Shahzadi Janjua, District Education Officer Hafiz Ikramullah Tarar, Begum Sharafat Ali and other relevant officials also attended the meeting.
The District Sports Officer briefed the participants about arrangements for the Punjab Youth Games 2026.
The briefing covered the registration process, sports trials and competitions planned for the upcoming Youth Games.
Officials said that online registration will remain open until September 30, 2026.
Sports trials for the Youth Games are scheduled to begin on September 27, 2026.
The Punjab Youth Games 2026 will feature competitions in 19 different sports.
Students from schools, colleges, registered madrasas, private schools and special education institutions will be eligible to participate.
The wide participation will provide young people from different educational backgrounds with an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting abilities.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Raja Haider Abbas directed the heads of all educational institutions to ensure maximum student registration.
He said the Punjab Youth Games 2026 would provide an excellent platform for young people to showcase their sporting talents.
He encouraged educational institutions to motivate eligible students to participate in the games.
He also stressed the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and sports authorities to facilitate student participation.
According to the briefing, sports trials will begin on September 27, 2026, while online registration will continue until September 30, 2026.
Students interested in participating are encouraged to complete their registration within the announced deadline.
They should also remain informed about the trial schedule for their selected sports.
The authorities are coordinating with educational institutions to facilitate eligible students during the registration and trial process.
Students can complete their online registration through the official Youth Games portal at youthgames.punjab.gov.pk.
