Quetta (Syed Sardar Mohammad Khondai): Inspector General of Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir has said that Balochistan Police is an organized and disciplined force playing a frontline role in protecting the lives and property of citizens, maintaining peace, and taking effective action against terrorism and criminal elements.
He made these remarks while addressing a Police Darbar in Quetta, where he discussed the performance, welfare and professional development of police officers and personnel.
Police Martyrs’ Sacrifices Will Always Be Remembered
IG Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir said the unparalleled sacrifices made by police officers and personnel while performing their duties are unforgettable. He said the sacrifices of police martyrs will always be remembered with honor and respect.
He appreciated the commitment of police officers and jawans who continue to perform their duties with responsibility, dedication and professional commitment despite difficult and challenging circumstances.
Muhammad Tahir said the police force remains committed to protecting citizens and maintaining law and order while confronting terrorism and criminal activities across the province.
The IG Police Balochistan said modern equipment, resources and facilities are being utilized to make the policing system more effective and compatible with contemporary requirements.
He said special attention is being given to modern training for police officers and personnel to improve their professional capabilities. He added that commitments made in this regard are being gradually fulfilled.
Muhammad Tahir stated that effective measures are also being taken for the welfare of the police force. He said the force is being equipped with essential resources for modern policing, including nearly 200 armored vehicles, more than 800 motorcycles and modern weapons.
The IG said the process of fulfilling promises made to officers and jawans during the previous Police Darbar is continuing gradually.
He reiterated the commitment to further strengthen the professional capabilities of the police force, promote modern policing and maintain the continuity of welfare measures for police officers and personnel.
At the conclusion of the Police Darbar, IG Muhammad Tahir listened to the individual problems of police personnel and issued on-the-spot directions for resolving their personal issues.
He also ordered the solarization of the tube-well system at Police Lines, aimed at improving facilities and supporting more efficient energy use.
