Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Bannu, where he attended the funeral of 12 soldiers martyred in the South Waziristan operation and met the injured at CMH.

In a high-level security meeting, he vowed a forceful and uncompromising response to terrorism, blaming its masterminds and facilitators in Afghanistan with backing from India. He warned Kabul to choose between “foreign elements or Pakistan,” stressing that Afghan nationals involved in cross-border attacks must be expelled.

The Prime Minister said the nation rejects any political narrative that supports foreign proxies, adding that those facilitating or defending them will be dealt with firmly. He reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stand united with the state and armed forces against India’s terror proxies.

He directed immediate administrative and legal measures to further strengthen the country’s response to terrorism
