A calligraphy and painting exhibition created by girls under the title “Azm-e-Jawan” was organized by Punjab Arts Council Sahiwal Division in which budding artists presented their charming and creative works. At the end of the exhibition, certificates were also given to the participating girls. On the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Dr. Niaz Ahmed Mughal said that the growing commitment of young girls to fine arts is very welcome, their creative thinking and subtlety positively adds to our social consciousness. He said that the girls’ stepping confidently into the world of art is proof of their mental maturity and positive training and such platforms encourage them to move forward. Senior leader of Muslim League (N), Pir Ehsanul Haq Idrees, who participated in the exhibition, said that art awakens the beauty within a person and the connection of girls with this tradition is very commendable. Director Punjab Arts Council Sahiwal Dr. Riaz Hamdani said that the Punjab Arts Council is always active in highlighting the art of youth, especially girls, and providing them with better opportunities, and Azm-e-Jawaan is a representative exhibition of its continuation. Special thanks were extended to Mian Afzal for providing valuable assistance in organizing the exhibition. The artists who expressed their creative talents in this exhibition included Zainab Babar, Iqra Fatima, Asma Liaquat, Huma Arafat, Thabeela Kiani, Sobia Mahmood, Hafsa Amin, Javeria Aziz, Zeenat Hassan and Mah Noor Zafar.
